Phase Pistol

The Phase Pistol was introduced in 2151 aboard the first NX class starship, Enterprise. The Phase Pistol was the most advanced weapon that Starfleet R&D had to offer at the time of it's first use. Several years into it's service the Phase Pistol became the standard sidearm carried only by Starfleet personnel.

This weapon has two settings, stun and kill. The Kill setting appears to have multiple applications, as it has been used to explode objects, and cut through wood. It uses a removable energetic plasma fuel cell as it's primary ammunition.
