Phaser 2B

The Phaser 2(B) introduced during 2285 introduced as a standard sidearm to replace the 2271 model P2, which was still in use during the early deployment of the Phaser 2(B) during 2285. Like the Original Phaser 2, the Phaser 1 was docked to the top, for it's P2 configuration. Assumably the Enterprise 1701 stocked Both the P2A and the P2B in it's armory.

This version of the phaser was used in ST3: The Search for Spock. Two different versions were made that incorporated different Phaser 1s into them, one for Kirk to use, and one for Uhura during filming.
