STARFLEET COMMBADGE CIRCA 2344 A.D.

This item was the standard issue communicator in service during 2344. Being worn on the left breast of the individual's uniform. It was the first communicator that was used by Starfleet that was worn as a badge, or part of the uniform, and was activated by a tap of it's surface. This was the communicator used by the crew of the Enterprise C at the battle of Nerrendra 3.

Most notably about this prop is how it's already a previously established item, dating back to it's first use on ST:2. This item has been used to establish a long standing Starfleet tradition of using the same uniforms from that era until the mid to late 2350's, helping to bring the establish look of the Star Trek movies to the TV Screen, for ST:TNG, as well as cut production costs. Of course though the Officers Uniforms were modified to produce a different version of the uniform for use in the 2350 time period.
