COMPRESSION RIFLE

This Type 3 Rifle utilized the latest hybrid of phaser technologies as a result of the advancements made from the deveplopement of the Intrepid Class Starship. A discharge of compressed phaser energy appears as a quick firing yellow colored pulse. It was highly effective aboard the starship Voyager, which became lost in the Delta Quadrant. This rifle as it is a hybrid of phaser technology is often referd to as the Compression Rifle, because of the compressed phaser beam, instead of Type 3. Later models of the Compression Rifle featured a lamp built into the scope. These Rifles were used almost exclusivley on Intrepid Class Starships.
