STARFLEET PHASER RIFLE CIRCA 2367 A.D.

TYPE 3 PHASER

Also Refered to as simply "Phaser Rifle" the Type 3 Phaser, was equiped with a variety of scope mounts for various purposes. The standard Type 3 Phaser Rifle was equiped with only a flip up holographic site. A removable power pack at the rear of the rifle allowed for multiple power packs to be used with the unit, where normal recharge using EPS taps are not readily available. This unit was used faithfully through out the Dominion Wars in several configurations up until about 2377.
The Type 3 Phaser Rifle prop was introduced in ST:TNG. First seen in a bright silver paint scheme, and seen in several other paint schemes though out the run of ST:TNG, the prop recieved a official set paint scheme in the production of ST:DS9, nearly 4 years after it's initial use (ironically, it was also in ST:DS9 then that new design scopes were added to the rifle). This prop, never incorporated any working features, and doesn't have a trigger on the handles.
